Easy dinner recipe - Masala Pulao with Garlic Raita

This delicious Masala Pulao is just the pick-me-up meal you need. Best part is, its quick and easy to make.


4 tbsp Infused Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut oil – Curry Coriander 

1 tsp Cumin  

1/2 tbsp Garlic chopped  

1 tbsp Ginger chopped 

1 Green chilly chopped

1 cup Onion chopped 

1/2 tsp Turmeric  

3/4 tsp Chilly powder

1 tbsp Coriander powder

Salt to taste

1 cup Tomato chopped 

1 cup Rice

For Garlic Raita

2 tbsp Infused Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil – Curry Coriander

1 tbsp Garlic chopped  

2 cups Curd

Salt a pinch

Black salt - a pinch

Pepper powder - a pinch


Wash & soak rice for half hour.

In a pan, heat Infused Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil Coriander. Add cumin followed by chopped garlic, ginger, green chilly and onions. Cook them for 3-4 mins. Add turmeric, chilly powder, coriander powder and salt with a dash of water. Cook for a minute and add tomatoes.

Stir the tomatoes for 3 mins. Add 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil.

Drain the water from the rice and then to the pan. Cook on high heat till it gets a boil again. Then reduce and cook the rice covered till it absorbs the water and gets tender. Remove from fire and let it sit for 5 mins before opening and serving.

For the garlic raita heat a pan and add the Infused Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil Curry Coriander. Add chopped garlic and cook on low heat till the garlic browns completely. Add this tempering to the curd along with salt, black salt and pepper powder and whisk it.

Serve chilled raita with hot masala pulao.
