Mega star Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy directed by Surender Reddy is showing its power at the box office. Mega fans and mega family are celebrating the success in a delightful manner as Chiranjeevi realized his dream of donning the role of a freedom fighter for the first time on screen.

While many are hailing the makers for coming with a patriotic entertainer on first freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, few others are raking unnecessary controversy for undue publicity.

It is known that ahead of the film release few people who are against mega family and Mega Star instigated Narasimha Reddy descendants to file a case against the makers accusing them of cheating by going back on the alleged promise of financial assistance. Finally, they did a U-Turn as the High Court cleared the film's release.

The makers too to avoid unnecessary controversy made clear that Sye Raa is not a biopic on Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Even before the film release, few opposed the film on Narasimha Reddy saying he was not a freedom fighter but a cold-blooded bandit. Many came with articles and few channels even came with discussions on whether Narasimha Reddy was a bandit or a freedom fighter.

They cited the Narasimha Reddy rebelled against the British only after the British abolished the practice of Palegallu adopting others to get a royalty. After the death of Narasimha Reddy's foster father, the British government stopped the royalty to Narasimha Reddy.

Angered with this act, Narasimha Reddy attacked the British treasury and looted money killing the treasury officer and the tahsildar. British acted quickly and started searching for him. In the meantime, Narasimha Reddy killed another tahsildar. British government captured him and hung him for the reason. Narasimha Reddy did not fight with patriotic feeling or for the freedom of his people but for his personal favors.

But others say, British labeled everyone who fought against them as traitors and punished them slapping cases on the acts of treason. There is nothing new in it and Narasimha Reddy should get due credit as a freedom fighter. No one can deny the fact that the British hung his head for 30 years at the Fort to wreak fear. There is also no denying that the British tortured people imposing undue taxes and beating them to death. This itself is enough to sing praises of Narasimha Reddy's favour.

Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan should be complimented for highlighting Narasimha Reddy's valor which was forgotten by the history makers for many decades.
